Many divers struggle with pesky strap, band, and buckle arrangements, often resulting in a tank coming loose during a dive. This issue can cause a dangling cylinder, making it impossible for the diver to continue. To avoid this problem, wet the diving tank band or strap and ensure your buddy does the same. Invest a few minutes to learn how to properly strap the scuba tank band through the buckle. Avoid undoing the diving tank band from the buckle too far; simply loosen it enough to secure the tank.
The Aquatec Scuba Tank Band features a long, rubber anti-slip pad fastened by a plastic or stainless steel buckle. This standard-width tank strap is lightweight, with a strong marine-grade stainless steel cam buckle design that cinches very tightly. The anti-slip pad protects the cylinder from being scratched by the buckle and prevents the cylinder from shifting once the cam buckle has been secured. Securing the excess webbing also prevents the buckle from accidentally coming loose.
This tank band is heavy-duty and ideal for diving with regular scuba tanks. The soft tank band with buckle ensures a firm grip on the tanks. It serves as a replacement cam band for most BCDs to secure your tank in place and suits tech diving setups. The quick-adjust plastic or stainless steel cam buckle locks tightly, securing your cylinder in position and is specifically designed for use with single tank adaptors and single tank backplate configurations.
Never let your scuba tank slip out of your BCD again!
